Your Stem Cells.
Using non-operative cell-based therapy to enhance your life through the healing power of your own stem cells.
the Art of Renewal™
CurPoint is a Scottsdale-based orthopedic practice that delivers innovative technologies in the rapidly emerging field of cell-based regenerative medicine. We are orthopedic surgeons, fluent in the intricate anatomy and physiology of the human body. Having performed thousands of complex surgeries, we have literally been inside of the joints and body parts our patients are now asking us to treat with stem cells and other therapies.
Mission
In late 2016, Congress signed into law “The 21st Century Cures Act” to advance America’s leadership in regenerative, cell-based medicine. Having already utilized stem cells in the treatment of complex fractures for decades, orthopedic surgeons are uniquely qualified to lead this rapidly emerging field.
It is out of this pioneering spirit that CurPoint Orthopedic was founded. Thus the “cure” in our very name. We use non-operative cell-based therapies to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life through the healing power of your own stem cells.
What are Stem Cells?
Stem cells are important for living organisms for many reasons. Stem cells have the remarkable potential to develop into many different cell types in the body, serving as a sort of internal repair system, dividing essentially without limit to replenish other cells so long as the person is still alive. Given their unique regenerative abilities, stem cells offer new potentials for treating diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. The field of medicine devoted to treatments in which stem cells are induced to differentiate into the specific cell type to repair damaged or destroyed cell populations or tissue is called regenerative medicine.
More About Stem cells
Our Technology
CurPoint technology is unsurpassed. Our Ziehm Solo mobile C-arm provides instant image data by means of a non-invasive x-ray technique during medical procedures. For minimally invasive joint inspection, our mi-eye2™ needle scope allows for rapid diagnosis and pin-point precision. With respect to the stem cell injections, CurPoint is collaborating with one of the largest ultrasound companies in the area. They are fully accredited and provide us with the ability to perform all our stem cell injections under ultrasonic guidance. See More.
CONDITIONS TREATED
CurPoint Orthopedic, using OrthoInfo as its primary resource, focuses solely on injuries and diseases of your body’s musculoskeletal system. This complex system—which includes your bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and nerves—allows you to move, work, and be active. See More.

Our Process
Examination
By looking at imaging studies, performing physical examination, and interviewing our patients, we can discuss the intricacies of their pathology from a comprehensive, authoritative perspective as only an experienced surgeon can.
If your CurPoint provider believes you are a candidate for a cell-based medicine procedure, they will provide you will an extensive Patient Information packet to review. This document will review the following:
- What is “regenerative medicine”?
- Is this treatment right for you?
- Two types of products used
- Getting ready for your procedure
- Special instructions
- Possible side effects and complications
- After your procedure
You will also be provided with an Informed Consent Form, which has in-depth information about the proposed procedure. Download additional forms below:
Assessment
We will propose the best and most ethical treatment based on evidence-based medical literature. In some cases, stem cells may not be the best treatment option. Perhaps a steroid injection is all that is required. Or surgery is in order. In any event, treatment will only be dispensed after a careful analysis and discussion of all treatment options.
