Dr. Bays will supervise all aspects of the practice. He is a Board Certified Active Practice orthopedic surgeon with UW Medicine NW Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Bays graduated with honors from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy. He graduated valedictorian from A.T. Still University (formally Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine) on a United States Navy Scholarship.
Dr. Bays performed a 5-year orthopedic surgery residency at the Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Phoenix, with additional training at the University of Southern California for Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery; and at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for Orthopedic Trauma Surgery.
Dr. Bays served with distinction for four-years in the United States Navy as an orthopedic surgeon, ending his tour of duty as a senior medical officer with the rank of Commander. Following his naval tenure Dr. Bays performed trauma surgery and Entertainment Medicine for some of the world’s top entertainers in Country and Contemporary Music Fields while in Branson, Missouri.
Presently, Dr. Bays has an orthopedic surgery practice and serves as an expert orthopedic surgery consultant for some of the largest companies in the world. Dr. Bays serves as an orthopedic surgery consultant to US Healthworks and their 15 local facilities. He has provided physicians from around the country with presentations on the nuances of treatment of the injured worker. Dr. Bays provides expert orthopedic evaluations at the request of state and federal agencies and is frequently asked to testify as an expert witness in complex medical-legal cases in state and federal court.
Dr. Bays has been retained as an expert orthopedic surgery consultant for former NFL professional football players from around the country and has provided expert witness testimony in complex cases before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals.
