    Knee

    Knee

The knee is one of the most complex joints in the human body. A healthy knee enables us to run, walk, squat, and move pain-free. However, when degeneration or injury disturbs the normal functioning of the knee, it can result in pain, loss of mobility, and difficulty with activities of daily living.

Whether you’re a professional athlete or an active individual, at CurPoint Orthopedic in Scottsdale, you’ll find personalized care for all knee-related conditions and injuries.

Because conservative treatment options can be effective at treating many knee-related conditions, CurPoint explores nonsurgical treatment options such as physical therapy, corticosteroid injections, platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and/or stem cell therapy whenever possible.

But for those suffering from severe pain, stiffness, crunching, locking and popping, surgery can be necessary. In such cases we offer the latest, state-of-the-art procedures including arthroscopic ACL repair surgery, cartilage repair/transplantation which allow us to provide better outcomes and, in many cases, faster recovery times.

Some of the most common shoulder conditions we treat include:

    • Anterior cruciate ligament tears (ACL tears)
    • Arthritis
    • Cartilage injury
    • Bursitis
    • Chondromalacia (Runner’s Knee)
    • Collateral ligament tears (MCL and LCL)
    • Fractures and dislocations
    • Iliotibial (IT) band syndrome
    • Meniscus tear
    • Osgood-Schlatter Disease
    • Patella tendon repairs
    • Patellar dislocations and disorders
    • Patellofemoral pain
    • Posterior cruciate ligament tears (PCL tears)
    • Sports injuries and overuse syndromes
    • Sprains and strains
    • Wear and osteolysis
